We're in Shenandoah~~~~~~~

This morning I had oatmeal with the same combination as yesterday's: coconut, wheatberry and ground almond and an orange.

We drove about 2 hours and half and arrive the entrance to Shenandoah park. The skydrive view is breath-taking!!! We were claiming: so beautiful, so amazing all the time and regret not have learnt enough words to describe its beauty.

After visiting visitor's center to get maps for the trail, we went to the picnic area to have our lunch. My lunch was a sandwich of smoked salmon, laugh cow, sprouts in two whole wheat bread. And I also prepared a salad with some broccoli, carrots, more sprouts and more wheatberries. I didn't use any dressing, just S+P and a little bit of soy sauce. Dessert was an apple, not photographed.
Having stuffed with food, we head to our first trail, called While Oak Canyon. It consists of 3 parts with three waterfall view. Two of them are easy and the another is difficult. We did all of three, which it's about 5 miles one way. It's such a beautiful trail and good workout. I really enjoyed it!

Once get onto the car, we had our snack, mine was 10-15 chips of soy chip and fiber cereal.

We checked at the hotel and went to the downtown looking for some local place for dinner. It's really a small town so we didn't have many choice. We ended up in a place called Artisan's grill. I had a sandwich called Monet (every sandwich was called with the name of an artist) which consists grilled mushroom, red peppers and onions. As side dish, cole slaw. Maybe it was the long trail, we enjoyed a lot our sandwich. For dessert, we shared apple pie with ice cream.

A beautiful day, a good workout, and now my dear friend is taking a bath in the jaccuzi and saying "it feels so good to have a jaccuzi bath after a good hiking day!".

Shenandoah is gorgeous... I'm lucky enough to live in DC to be able to enjoy it when I want.
