Okay, breakfast.... no chinese...because I can't live without oatmeal. hahaha..... So, today's combo was
- pre-made steel cuts
- one poached egg
- tomatoes sauce
- parmesean cheese
- flaxseed meal
- dry basil
I think my Dad liked this more than sweet oatmeal.
I was planning to go out with my Dad to continue with the city tour.... but just before we were leaving I received an email from the professor who I'm writ ting a paper with and had to do something urgent. So, sorry to Dad, we had to stay at home. But my Dad didn't complain at all, if not, he was happy for my progress in my career. I think that is what parents love, the most generous love is about.
To compensate him, I prepared I delicious lunch. Baked salmon with onion, marinated first with cooking wine, soy sauce, fresh and powder ginger and 1 tsp of sugar. That's the perfect baked salmon, it never fails.
We also had sauteed chinese greens with a lot of garlic and a miso soup with seaweed and tofu.
Rice as usual.
As dessert I had 1/2 chocolate almond breeze, some Tj's greek yogurt and 1/4 cup of wheat berries.
This afternoon I went to a spinning class while Dad watched a movie. I needed that workout after a day of studying. I had an apple and a cup of chocolate almond breeze before the workout.
Dinner time..... more sauteed greens
stir-fry soy bean sprouts with hydrated shitake
smoked tofu in form of spaghetti sauteed with shitake, dry shrimps and black duck egg.
Dad had rice and I had kabocha with oat bran. It makes a huge bowl!!!!!! I almost couldn't finish it, but as it's so yummy it wasn't so hard to finish it.
It makes
Daddy can't wait until I take pics to begin to eat! Because they're so delicious~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dessert was simply Fage 2% with ton of cinnamon.
Fage 2% is my favorite until now. I haven't tried Chobani yet since we don't have it in Maryland, but I'd like to try other Greek yogurts. Do you guys know any other brand of Greek yogurt?

I'm loving the traditional Chinese food posts!
Hooray for REAL Chinese food!! :0)
I love Chinese food. Hopefully I will be able to try the authentic version some day!
I love seeing your authentic Chinese food. You're right, the American-ized version is gross. Yours looks SO much better. :)
Yummy! I always find it weird that chinese food gets such bad press in the western world for being bad. If that's the case, most of the chinese folks would be obese and we know that that is not true.
Granted that it's not healthy eating out at chinese restaurants but it's the home style chinese cooking that is so much better.
great for REAL chinese food!!! make me some?
