grey-blue day

This will be a quick post, it's 10.30pm and I just arrived home.

Grey day continued...sun just didn't want to come out..... And my mood continued to blue...not sure why, if it was the weather...it was because Dad left.....anyway.... I woke up pretty early this morning (5.30am), had a good breakfast
  • 1/4 dry steel cuts (pre-made)
  • 1/4 almond breeze
  • 1/3 raspberries
  • 2 tbsp wheat berries
  • 1/4 cottage cheese
  • 1/2 large banana
Coffee and FT as usual

After breakfast I went to a yoga class..(hoping that it will change my blue mood)....somehow it didn't create the magic today. Back home it was early for lunch but I was hungry...so I had a bowl of EnjoyLife Granola and a tea.
Trying to un-blue continued.... baking!!! I made biscuit for Savanna and made Kath's baked banana oatmeal and prepared lunch for me and dinner for Savanna.
Recipe for biscoti
  • 1 3/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 grounded or chopped toasted almond
really simple but very tasty!
Just came out from oven
Sliced and back to oven again
Lunch was baked salmon+baked bruselles sprouts+aduki rice
dessert was a marroc (no pic)

I went to a seminar this afternoon and have to go to lunch with the guest speaker tonight. Before that, I came back to change cloth and had a biscoti.....mmmmmmm......so yummy~~~~~
Dinner was in a very fine spanish restaurant....sorry no pic..(it was a table of guest speaker and professors, so I couldn't take out my camera) But it was a really enjoyable dinner in term of food..... chatting? so so....... not very interesting conversation.

so tired.....heading to bed soon, tomorrow I have to teach 3 discussion and haven't prepared anything yet.. such a bad teacher I am!

Aw sorry about the blah day. I had one of those too. Must be something about Thursdays...

Looks like you had some good eats to balance out the blah mood though! Baking is always good for that :)

Sorry you had a bit of a blue day! Hopefully some sleep will help, and tomorrow will be sunny and less blue.
