Because of lack of sleep, I was dizzy all day long. However, I did managed to work for 5.5 hours. Although my plan was 7 hours, I think it was enough for a day like this (when everyone is having crazy shoppings or hangovers of last night's party and big fest). I also planned to go for a workout today, but when I finished working around 6pm, my dizziness was so severe that I couldn't convince me to dress up and go to the cold outside. Instead I lied on the coach and finished Eat, Pray and Love. I must say I really enjoyed the book.... it made me laugh, felt touched and some good reflections about my own life.
Okay, before I continue about the book. Let me just record my eats today.
Brekkie was reported in the last post. I had my lunch almost at 3pm because I had late breakfast (8am) and because I wanted to finish writing my proposal (I like to finish writing something to not lose the idea of line of writing). By 1.45pm I was really hungry so I began to cook lunch. 10 min later I realized we were running out of salt, so I asked Savannah to buy salt. Meanwhile I had my dessert first. Fage with cinnamon.Lunch was all Chinese dishes. Chinese zucchini with dry shrimps and a special duck egg.Sauteed Bitter-melonWinter melon with tomato soup
Sauteed cabbageAll together with rice.
I was really stuffed but enjoyed it a lot!
No official dinner after the big/late lunch. Instead I had many snacks.
pita bread with hummus and cottage cheese.Another pita bread! I Love these!!!!Baked kabocha (japanese squash)
Fage with strawberries and bon o bon.
Okay. Done with eats. Now let me cite here one of my favorite part of the book. It's about what is soul mate.
“… People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that’s holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave. And thank God for it. .... "
So, what do you guys think about soul mate?
I'd better go to bed early tonight so I can be more productive tomorrow.
Hope you guys enjoyed your day, either shopping or just eating leftovers.

I sure hope you feel better and get more sleep!
Those are very intriguing words about soul mates, and the more I think about it...I believe those words are true.
I got the Snoopy plates at Kohl's, but I just checked e-bay and they are being sold on there (about double the price I paid).
I love kabocha!!! I think they are so much yummier than the American pumpkins. I don't know why they call it a kabocha squash??? It's a pumpkin! haha.
Congrats girl, on working so hard on your proposal! You have amazing work ethics. Go you! :)
Interesting quote about soul mates. I don't like the idea about not being able to live with a soul mate... I don't know.... I would want to marry and live with my 'soul mate'... and wouldn't want them to leave! I don't necessarily believe in soul mates anyway, but still. ;)
I have my soul mate :)
Those eats look great. I love Asian food. Hope you're feeling better!
Feel better!!
hii!
kabocha is so adorable - i cut into pieces and bake them until they're slightly crispy on the outside! my mom adores them, too.
i LOVE that book "eat, pray, love." i really do. i read it last year when i was in taiwan, and was brought to tears during certain parts of the book.
however, i believe that there are different types of "soul mates." one is the one that you're destined to be with - because it just feels right and you know that he's/she's the one you're supposed to spend the rest of your life with, or the one that would make that one part of your life just complete. but i also believe that there are those who come into your life in a whirlwind, absolutely throw your life into a crazy mix (not in a bad way) by forcing you to reexamine your priorities and your desires in life, and after finally causing enough doubt where you decide that you want to search for who you TRULY are or what is truly bothering you, leaves in either two ways: 1) quietly or 2) with a bang. if they leave quietly, you'll always remember them with fondness, because in hindsight, you realize that they made you re-discover yourself and hold onto something that you might have lost touch on. if they leave not-so-quietly, you'll still remember them - all that passion and conflict - but still realize that they made such a deep impression in your life, one that was great enough to change who you are, at your core.
sorry, i just ranted. like i said, i loved that book. hehe :)
it was kind of like an "under the tuscan sun" kinda book for me :).
Hey girl! I hope you were able to get some sleep so you will feel better today!
All your Chinese dishes look amazing ... I'm especially curious about the Winter Melon and Tomato Soup! Sounds pretty tasty!!
I'll have to get that book, it sounds interesting!
I think of my husband as my soul mate, only because I didn't have to change anything about me from day one. I wasn't trying to be something I wasn't thinking that was what he wanted and he feels the same way!
We actually met at love@aol, which was right before match.com bought it. We'll be married 8 years next month!
i'm so jealous of your eats all the time...i wish i was brave enough to make asian themed foods....
i hope you get some more sleep and feel better soon!
Girl! You need to get some more sleepies! Bitter melon? I have never heard of this or had it!
I've not seen bitter melon - I thought it was celery!
I've heard that book is incredible! I have to read it!
I don't really believe in soul mates, but I'm also not a romantic. I sort of envy those who are!
the food looks very beautiful.
the important was you should sleep well to relax.
Hope you will have a good weekend.
