A ...... day!

Thanks for all your comments about my confession, you guys made me feel better about myself, THANK YOU!
Yesterday was a weird day, that's the word, not good, not bad, just weird. I was not in my best mood; the day was gray; someone called me for a 5 min ride which upset me; I left the key inside of my car which made upset me even more... but I did get a nice package from Karen because I won her last giveaway. So, overall I think it was an even day, but I didn't feel that way. It was because of a bad news that Star told me: He may not be able to come to US as soon as we thought and certainly this news is the worst I could hear now.

Let me recap the event chronologically.
Breakfast was a nice combo
  • 1/3 c. oat bran
  • 1/4 c. wheat bran
  • 1 tbsp wheat cream
  • 1/2 almond breeze
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin
  • vanilla/cinnamon
  • blackberries and coconut spread
Went to school to teach and hold office hour. Back, had an orangeLunch: stir fry tofu with mushrooms, spinach, peppers, Country Bob's BBQ sauce, sesame seeds. Together with spelt pilaf.Dessert: 2 cookies + dark chocolateI worked through until someone (who I barely know) called me to give him a ride nearby. My first reaction was: what? And then, I thought maybe it was an emergency so I said yes. But then I realized that it was not urgent at all, and it was only <1 style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">do I look I have nothing to do but to be your personal driver or something? Plus he's not my friend, I probably met him only one or twice during the last 3 years. Can u imagine someone who you don't know well just call you to give him a ride just because it's convenient?
Back home, upset I saw a package in my door. It was from KarenI was so excited about the honest bars that I've seen in many blogs that I had to try it. I had half bar (which is 1 serv.) and it was sooooo delicious.... so like homemade granola bar! Love it!~~~
Super-fueled, ready for a spin class. Then, the accident happened, I left the key inside the car!!! It was the second time this happens, I was prepared for this because I made a copy of the key after last time I lock me out and had to call the police. I went to spin class, a good one, and then run back home to take the backup key and run back. It was an extra 20 min outdoor run, which was good to cheer me up.
By dinner time I was feeling better and made a delicious light meal. The cookies and the bar killed my appetite. I made a pasta sauce with broccoli puree, fresh chopped tomatoes and onions, 1 LC, tons of nutritional yeast, almond milk, S+P, over "spaghetti". The cheesy flavor was intense and delicious!Dessert: strawberries with sweetened cocoa powder and diary free chocolate pudding!Final event of the day: Star called me, we talked for 2 min and hang up. But I noticed he was not in his usual mood so I called him back and he told me the news. Then, both of us were not in usual mood.

Question: Have you ever been in a long distance relationship?

I dont really like weird days. The disorient me and I don't like that feeling. I've had a bit of a blaahhh day today too so understand where you are at!

I don't like this person who took that lift from you. How opportunistic, disrespectful and rude! But on the upside, you definately have some positive karma coming your way given the kind act you've done!

All your food looks delicious today. The pilaf looks amazing and so does your spaghetti. Yummy!

I'm sorry your day ended on a sour note. I've never been in a long distance relationship so I can't really comment. I guess you would just need to be really really sure you are meant to be with each other for that kind of thing to work.

Also, thanks for your super lovely and generous offer to show me around DC and take me to yoga! I will GLADLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY take you up on that offer!!! I'll keep you updated on all my travel plans when we get closer to the date... but I'll be in NY from September onwards. How exciting!!!!

Long distance relationships are so difficult sometimes. I dated a guy in highschool and he went to Arizona for college, while I stayed in Ohio. It was very hard, but if you are truly in love, it can work. How long have you been together and when do you plan on moving to the same country? Also, those Balance bars, where do you buy them and are they expensive? Sorry I just asked about a million questions!

guh, what a day of frustrations! i can't believe that guy asked you for a ride!

you did a good job of finding ways to cheer yourself up by night, though. until the phone call from star. disappointing news, but you'll figure it out!

i was in a long distance relationship once. it ended. but it did restart and last for another 3 years when it ceased to be long distance! just take it day by day, as i'm sure you know. it's not easy!

Gina: love your million questions! :)
those Honest Food bars are organic, you can order it online or you can find them in Whole food.
I and Star have been together for 7 years now and he's applying for transfer to USA which is delayed now (that's the bad news), so now I don't know when.

Oh no :( About the bad news. I hope things work out. I know that long distance is tough (we've only been long distance for short periods of time - 3 or 4 months). I can't imagine how hard it must be for you to be long distance for so long. You'll be together soon, so just try to be happy in the present :) Worries/expectations are what make us unhappy. It's hard not to have them though.

Have a lovely day Coco. I hope you're feeling better and that Star will be with you soon!

Long distance is very difficult- I've only done it for a few months in the past so I can't even imagine what it's like for you. I really hope that he gets his transfer soon
