The 100th post!!!! So many happy news today!!!

Happy news 1: It's my 100th post!! I can't believe it! It has been more than two months since my first post. How many great people I've met, how I've learned to take photos to food, how many great recipes I've created, how many great recipes from bloggers I've tried, how much I've improved on my english writing, how much faster I've improved in posting!!!!!! These might have been the most stressful months in my life, but I received so much support from you which made me feel much better. I won't get tired to repeat over and over again how grateful I feel because of you guys, THANK YOU!!!

Happy news 2: good news about my research. Do you guys remember that professor who I was working with, who is world's top 15 in my field (international finance)? I've been stressed because she was ignoring my calls and emails. Today she finally contacted me and explained to me what she has been working on and how busy she was and will be next two months. So, our project will be postponed. That's not my worry anyway. What made me happy is that she is still very interested on the project and that she likes to work with me, so if I can wait her, we will continue the project beginning February next year! This means my three months of hard wasn't in vain and I'll probably co-author with someone as important as she is.

Happy news 3: I met with other two professors today about two new ideas that I have. And I got pretty good feedback. So, now I have enough confidence to put into work my ideas. That's so good, because this means I won't be feeling lost anymore (at least in term of topics. I'm sure I'll find more obstacles when I get into them, but at least I have a main picture to focus on).

Happy news 4: I just received this award from Megan's Munchies. She's one of my early readers and who commented in almost every single post of mine. Her support encouraged me to continue with this blog. And she knows my heart!!! We share passion and love for the best food in the world: Pumpkin!!! Actually, I remember I began to religiously read her posts because she was creating new recipe with pumpkin everyday. You must be really genius to be able to do that!
And I'm passing this award to two of my old and one of my new favorite blogs. Check them out if you haven't yet.

And finally , look what I received today? Foodbuzz and Organica Deluxe Teams were so nice to send me samples of ginger cookies!!!!
I always like to receive free samples!!! specially FOOD!!!

okay. Fabulous day, isn't it? Now back to lame food! ^.~
Breakfast was good (at 5.30 am! again I woke up at 4.30am)
  • 1/2 cup multigrain
  • 1/2 cup almond breeze chocolate
  • 1 large chopped apple
  • 2 tbsp wheat berries
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
mmmmmm........... apple in the oatmeal is great!!!!!!!!!
I began to work at 6.30am but by 10 I lost my focus, I was anxious! So I decided to go to the library to see if I can focus on my work. This means I won't be able to have lunch at home. So, I packed an apple, the ginger cookie (I only had a bite at the end) and milanesa de soja. Review of the ginger cookie: it was toooooo sweet for my taste and the ginger flavor wasn't strong enough. I think it would be a good topping for oatmeal. ^_^
Fortunately I did some good work at the library (it was my first time studying at library! Can you believe it? I've been studying for almost 20 years and I've never studied in a library).
At 3 after attending a lecture I was starving. So I went to the co-op in campus and had this very veggie sandwich (made with 1/2 pita bread and tons of veggies). I had to take pic with the photo booth. Oh... I also had a big handful of nuts!Meetings with professor.
Back home I was starving again (it was a cold and rainy day, so more hunger than usual). I baked some broccoli, heated Tj's grilled chicken, BBQ sauce and leftover grits.Dessert: fage with frozen strawberries and wheat berries.
Eats weren't great today but I don't care, there are so many good news to be happy about! ^_^

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......... this relieved feeling feels so great!!!!!!!
