I spent 12 hours out of my home today. I left at 7am and came back at 7pm. Such a long day~~ But I feel accomplished!
I've always studied at home alone since primary school and always wonder why people go to the library to study. Well, I guess it's because it forces you to study! I've been stressed out lately with my work, so when I was working at home, I got anxious and not be able to continue to work after that. But doing research is about being persistent, trying, thinking, over and over again. And being in the library forces me to do that because I have nothing else to do there!!! So glad that it's working for me ^_^
The only negative side of this is my eats is mediocre :(
Breakfast at home was good. (6am)
- 1/2 cup multigrain
- 1/2 cup chocolate almond breeze
- 1 large chopped apple
- 1/4 cup egg white (for extra protein)
- 1 tbsp flax meal
I packed leftover barley risotto with poached egg whites for lunch.2 packets of BBand 1 Tj's muffin for snack.
After lunch I felt having something sweet. So I bought a luna bar, my first one! Peanut Butter Cookie flavor.
I like the crunchy part, but the taste wasn't that good. I couldn't even taste PB flavor and it left me with a weird taste in my mouth. I couldn't finish the bar. Sorry to luna lovers, it's really not my type. But I did enjoy a good cup of flavored coffee with soy milk and agave.
When I came home I was really starving, my blood sugar went low low, I'd eat anything eatable!!!! It was 7pm so I couldn't have anything too filing, otherwise I'd spoil my appetite. I went for a sammie mess with half apple, 1/4 cup Tj's high fiber and 1/4 cup chocolate almond breeze.
mmmm...... I was myself again! ^_^ Blood sugar pumped up, but still tired. I think I've burned thousands of calories today just seating there thinking!!! Have you guys noticed that mental work could be more cal-burning than cardio work? don't you get very hungry after studying long hours?
Hungry + Exhausted = simple/nutritious dinner.
I made a savory oatmeal with 1/2 cup oatmeal, 2/3 canned salmon and 1/2 chinese dark egg, S+P. And sauteed romaine lettuce.
Oatmeal is so good in any form any taste! ^_^ I love it!
Dessert was a berry fest: fage + strawberries + blueberries!Sorry, I know I'm boring with dessert. I've been having those since I began the blog?? I just love it!!! And I'm the kind of person that when I find something I really like, I stick to it! ^_^ (I guess lucky my bf)
And I just had two lindts too! ^_^ These are one of my favorite chocolates!
