V-ordinary day!

No celebration, no flowers, no chocolates, no surprises, work for 8 h, mediocre eats and a good Movie! That's the summary of my Valentine's day! I'm not sad that I didn't have a great day, it's just another day. Well.... I have to be honest, when I came home after work and didn't see flower in my door, I got a little sad. Although I and Bf have been together for 7 years and he had never missed out any special date to send me flowers/gifts (even on Children's day), and I do think that sending flowers on Valentine's are way toooo expensive. However, I'm such a ordinary girl despite my extreme rationality. I still want to be surprised, to be moved and to be loved in the most ordinary way. I know that I shouldn't blame my dear, and I won't love him less if he doesn't follow the V-day's tradition, but I know that I'd be disappointed. One thing that we've established during these 7 years is that we should be honest with each other, we should express any good or bad feelings about each other whenever we feel it. So, I went straight and told him my feelings. And you know what? My love did send me flowers and chocolate!!! The only problem is that they forgot to deliver it to me! Ops........ But just right there, I felt much better (so ordinary!) and relieved! I really hope that either my expectation goes down in the future about these special days or my Bf never forget to follow those stupid (but so necessary) traditions! Do you guys find it stupid? How do you deal with expectations?
Back to my ordinary eats today. Breakfast was similar to yesterday's, just bigger portion and adding wheat berries.Morning snack: baby Puffs (3-4 cups?) and Tazo tea! I got the assorted package from WF. I can finally try them out. What's your favorite?Lunch: rice+wheat berries + greens + beef roll + red peppers.PM snack: a new brand of greek yogurt ($2.79, sooo expensive!)more puffs. I finished the whole bottle!!!!!!!I and two girlfriends went to see He's just not that into you. It was a great movie to see on V-day. I liked it a lot and cried many times during the movie. But I think I prefer these three more as the most romantic movie. We went to WF after movie to get some dinner. Nothing fresh looked appetizing enough so I got Amy's frozen meal for dinner. It's my first time trying Amy's... and liked it a lot. I think it's pretty good. it has a lot of veggies, tofu and veggies (well, veggie tofu bowl) The flavor wasn't so strong, not artificial at all, not too salthy, good enough for a lazy day.
Light dinner MUST be supplemented with Big dessert: Fage + blueberries + wheat berries. My V-day wasn't spectacular, hopefully my next V-day can be spent with my dear. Did you enjoy the day? Anything specially touching happened? Don't be shy to share with me! ^_^

My fave TAZO is "calm". Actually, I think I'm out! Need to go buy more...

I'm glad your BF didn't forget about you on v-day! That would've made me sad, too!

My favorite Tazo is "Berry blossom white". I sometimes get my hopes up for things too, and then just feel disappointed when things don't happen the way I wanted them too. Just part of life I guess!

oh dear, i'm sorry that your BF was not here for v-day, but it still sounds like you had a nice day :)

i stayed home and watched the zohan movie with my brother and mom. my youngest brother is 15 and still laughs at things as if he were 10, so it was cute to laugh over silly stuff with him. :)

and then i went to more alzheimer's training today, and finally am certified! woot! :)
