good work+good eats=happy coco ^_^

yeah~~~ that's how I define a great day! ^_^ I do enjoy leisure days, but not everyday, I need to feel being productive. But good eats are important for me too. You guys know how hard is to keep a busy life with healthy eats. I've been struggling with it since I came back from China and finally found the way to deal with it: meal planning and cooking ahead. I made a batch of chili, pickles with edamame, rice with pok choy and sausage, so I can have something quick when I don't have time to cook and still have something delicious and nutritious.
I overslept yesterday again, woke up at 6.30am (I went to sleep at 10pm), so no yoga time :(.
Quick breakfast: 1/2 cup 5 grains OW + 1/2 cup almond breeze + 1 small chopped apple + 1 beaten egg + cinnamon/vanilla + GYG and the other 1/2 of the huge orange. It was a little dry but yummy still.
AM snack: I had a coffee with a new snack that I found in WF.It looks interesting and I like the small packet so I got two different flavors. This one is chocolate. I must say that it was a little disappointing. It's crunchy but lacks flavors. I couldn't taste chocolate in it except some bitterness.
Lunch: rice with pok choy and sausage (a very traditional dish in Shanghai), sauteed lotus with broccoli slaw and broccoli, an grilled shrimps (marinated first in soy sauce, cooking wine, s+p and sugar). It might not look nice, but it's soooooooooo good!!! I enjoyed every bite of it! ^_^
I was so full! It was hard to get back to work afterwards.
PM snack: my first Oikos! I had it with some frozen blueberries and the rest of Meteor Granola Bites. Another failed attempt. I know that some of you really like Oikos, but I should be honest, I couldn't finish the bottle! I'm not sure what's wrong with it, it's creamy and all, but just didn't like it at all. Fortunately my lunch hold me well so I didn't need more snacks.
Dinner: leftover sauteed lotus + sauteed pok choy with pepper flakes + pickles with edamame + black rice/aduki porridge.everything was very tasty! I finish them all! :D
Dessert 1: pumpkin + wheat berries + chocolate dream PB.Dessert 2: mini cracker + 1 tbsp of PB.MUM MUM..... this PB is really addictive!!!
How was your monday? productive with good eats too? I hope so!
Question: Do you like to try out new products? What makes you to want to try them out?

Yes, I LOVE trying out new products.

Do you like other Greek yogurt?

Thank you for the manicure reminder by the way! The thing is, they are too short I think. I need to grow them a little before I can justify paying for a manicure.

I LOVE new products. I always always want to try out new things. Every time I see something in the grocery store that I have never seen before I immediately get sucked into it and consider buying it. Well, as long as it's somewhat healthy of course :)

I love your eats so much. Lotus is one of my favorites :) I usually try out new products when I see other people liking them. Can you tell me more about GYG? I'm curious!

Looks good. I'm sorry you overslept. It would be tough to get up that early for yoga. (I'm not a morning workout person myself.) Sometimes when I oversleep I think it was actually good for me, because my body really needed it.
I do love to try new products, but I tend eat a lot of the same thing over and over and it doesn't bother me at all. I also like to try new recipes.

Food looks great! Is that pickled cabbage? That's one of my fave comfort foods.

RE: Question

I love trying new things, but the problem I have is that I like to play it safe. Because of my hesitation to "explore" I can be a bit repetitive with my eating habits. It's sort of like a love hate relationship with me. I love to try new things, but I hate the fact the new thing could really suck.
