Heat makes me dizzy!!!!

It's so hot here in Maryland that I feel dizzy all day long. The air conditioning is still not on so I keep sleeping bad: moving between bed and floor; opening and closing windows; cursing the birds and trash truck every morning to wake me up (5am). grrrrrrrrr.......... I love summer..... but not this unpleasant side effects!!! Does anyone also feel dizzy during summer too? I think it's the low pressure that makes me feel dizzy all the time. I always have low pressure (60/90 is pretty good for me, sometimes during summer I got as low as 50/80). Any suggestion?

Feeling dizzy made me unproductive in term of work and eats. Didn't do much research and didn't do other things either... which is even worse. If I stop working when I realize that I'm not productive anymore, I could do something more enjoyable, like reading this book that I'm so fascinated and kept me going bed later than I want to. But instead, I kept trying to work a little more and end up wasting my time. :(

Anyway, lets move to my un-interesting eats.
Breakfast combo (which was the best meal of my day)
  • 1/3 c. flax seed porridge
  • 1/3 c. almond breeze chocolate
  • 1/4 c. wheat bran
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin
  • 2 tbsp egg white
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • Cinnamon swirl PB and blackberries.
AM snack: Argentinian chocolate filled with dulce de leche
(I know, I have to go to manicure urgently)
Packed lunch since I had to go to a seminar. Avocado Sandwich on a English Muffin.pretty simple: 1/2 ripped avocado + laughing cow + baby spinachThe rest of the lunch: sweet peppers + appleLunch left me not satisfied so when I came back (3pm) I had two cookies with tea.these cookies are soooooooo good.... not too sweet, crunchy and full of flavor. Thanks Krista!
Official PM snack: my latest favorite snack combo, strawberries, kamut puffs, almond milk. Then I went to a spin class, all sweat!!!!
I didn't crave anything for dinner except veggies, so another warm/cold salad
  • cold: baby spinach, tomatoes
  • warm: sauteed firm tofu, mushrooms, broccoli slaw, more spinach, light soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds. And microwaved egg white.
And a bowl of seaweed soup (cold)
Dessert was very chocolate: chocolate dairy free pudding and 1/3 bar of dark chocolate I hope either we get air conditioning soon or it starts raining to cool down, otherwise I can't go back to my productive mode!

Question: Do you get annoyed with yourself when you're not productive?

I do get annoyed when I'm not productive. The worst is when I'm trying to be productive but only working half-heartedly, so I don't get much accomplished, nor do I really get to enjoy myself.

Ugh, being dizzy is the worst! I sit with a fan right by my desk/bed/ect. It's vital!

Would a fan help you out with the heat wonder?

That avocado sammie looks really good! I'll have to try mixing avocado with LC!

Thanks for the shout out! I'm super happy you're enjoying the treats!

Hmm.. dizzy = not good. Make sure you drinking lots of fluids. Do you drink coffee? Maybe cut down on that if you do. I guess keeping cool is your best bet...

Your breakfast combo is sublime (again). I recently started adding wheat bran into my breakfasts and really like it!

And your dessert looks heavenly - double chocolate hit! Yum! So I'm wondering... are you back to dairy now?

And yes - I get incredibly frustrated with myself when I'm not productive. I feel constant pressure to be studying and on top of my work. Plus, I feel like I've wasted time if I'm not doing anything meaningful.

Spin class rocks, btw!

I get very annoyed with myself. It's been really frustrating the last few months because I feel like I keep trying to be productive, and everything falls through. The classes I wanted to take were full, the jobs I do end up being smaller than I thought, and I just feel like I'm wasting time when I could be doing something more! Also in just the past week I've felt this more and more. I'm wondering if it has something to do with going off of birth control - it feels almost like I was in a fog before and I'm finally waking up. In a good way though. I think it's going to kick me in the butt and make me do something real, if that makes sense.

I hate when it's too hot to sleep!
I do get annoyed with myself when I'm not as productive as I intend to be. It makes me feel like I've wasted a day. I know I need to relax a little about this, because a lot of times the problem is really that I just put too much on my plate!

That message was definitely for you :) It doesn't have to be balsamic vinegar, it can be any type of vinegar, but balsamic is often used in cooking so it makes more sense. I guess there is also raspberry vinegarette, and different types of balsamic.
Your flax seed porridge with pumpkin puree looks so good. What a unique dish! I made your tofu pudding today, I'm about to blog about it. IT's different, but I really like it.

Hey coco- have you found that blackberries are sweet yet? I've really wanted to get some, but I was afraid that they weren't going to be sweet yet! They look so yummy

omg i swear we're like sisters. I'm also 50/80 or 60/90 all the time, and I get dizzy a lot!! More so when I'm dehydrated (when i wake up in the morning) or if a stand up quickly outdoors when it's really hot. I would say, if you feel REALLY faint, lie down or at least get up as slowly as you can. I read that the lower the Blood pressure someone has, even though they're "healthier", the more likely they'll be dizzy.

My mom likes me eating dates because it's supposed to increase blood flow to the brain. :P

I do get annoyed when i'm not produtive, but ONLY if i have to accomplish something with a deadline. Otherwise...i let myself have a little break a lot too!! Like now!! heheheh

P.s. I tried your counting strokes method today during swimming. I like it, but it got really boring really fast!! Do you get bored too?
