I began to feed my inner tiger at 4am!!! yeah~ somehow I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep. I blamed this to my Monday's excitement (meeting 3 advisers in the same day) and my mind kept working afterward thinking about what should I do next and how to organize my working schedule in Argentina balancing work and leisure for a change.
Anyway, I enjoyed being up early so I have plenty of time to read blogs, write post, do a 45 min morning flow and arrived at the office at 7am! yeah~ I made my morning very productive.
okay. Now let me know you how to feed a tiger hunger! ^_^
4AM snack: 1/2 soft wrap with chocolate PB (This is my fav snack/treat now!)and 1/2 toasted plain.6AM breakfast inspired by Tina, I tried to add cottage cheese to my oats. I followed almost exactly her recipe although I used frozen blueberries and 1/2 c. of oats. I was a little disappointed because it turned out to be a little watery and the flavor wasn't especially exciting. I guess with fresh berries might taste better.
9 AM snack: BB.11AM snack: Quaker's truedelight raspberry chocolate.1PM lunch: bok choy & sausage rice and warm salad made with 1 c. of broccoli slaw, 1 c. of chickpeas and 1/2 c. marinara sauce.dessert: 3 minis. (forgot to take pic, so I used an old one).PM snack: another soft wrap with 2 tbsp of chocolate PB. I needed a energetic snack because I was going to a spin class at 5pm.
Spinning class was okay. I didn't sweat too much and my HR got normal. Here's the stat
Duration: 53:00
Average Heart Rate: 140
Maximum: 159
Calories burned: 315
After spin class it was only 6pm, I could have worked a little more since because of meeting again with my advisor and seminar, I only worked 6 hours. But, I said to myself:" take a break girl! you've been up since 3AM. Cook something yummy and you'll have more energy tomorrow." Obviously, I listened and went home happily! ^_^
So, dinner: sauteed cauliflower with sun dried tomato and Tj's turkey meatballSauteed greens with fresh ginger and garlic (that's what I alwasy add to green veggies)Kabocha fries (which makes it a perfect meal!)and black rice porridge.Dessert: 1/2 c. fage 2% + strawberries + fiber 1WEll..... that's a lot of food, isn't it? I don't have idea of how much cal. was..... but I don't care! ^_^ I'm a intuitive eater! if I'm hungry, I'll feed it, as long as it's a healthy, no guilty is necessary. Right?
Okay. Teasing you a little more about my culinary trip to Argentina. Look the dessert section of the brunch! Thanks for everyone to answer my question about being modest. After your encouraging words, I wrote a NOT modest at ALL letter of recommendation of me! ^_^
Question: How others opinion affect your self-confidence? Do you need to hear compliments from others to be confident?

I spy my favorite peanut butter :)
Love the chickpea dish and all those desserts!! :-)
I get really sensitive about comments.
Great eats as usual! I love how you don't worry about calories, etc! Eating when hungry seems so basic that it's a wonder we all can't seem to do it.
I'm glad you get to go to Argentina ... sounds like you need some leasure time : )
I'm with veggiegirl, I tend to be very sensitive ... too sensitive!! I'm a people-pleaser and I NEVER want anyone to be disappointed in me, etc. But I'm trying to toughen up and get thicker skin! ha.
I hope you get some sleep tonight!!!
You know...it depends on who the person is. If it is someone who I really care about, I worry about their opinion of me.
Lovely desserts at brunch!
A comment phrased or said the wrong way can totally destroy me. At the same time, I don't always trust compliments I get but appreciate them. Basically, I don't let them go to my head.
As for your tiger hunger...I'm the same way on days when I wake up super-early. I make it through the morning ok, but feel like I spend the rest of the day eating!
I'm glad you gave yourself a rest! You should try PB&Co's Mighty Maple - I like it a lot more than the chocolate one.
I feel much more confident when others compliment me - I'm generally pretty self-conscious and sometimes I feel like people are judging me - I don't know why!
mmm that chickpea dish looks really good. i still havent tried black rice porridge yet.
glad you took a break to cook your self a delish dinner :)
love dark chocolate PB!
Argentina looks amazing!
Good job being an intuitive eater, too!
I think, even though I don't like to admit it, that opinions affect me. I try not to let them discourage me but instead use them to make myself a better and stronger person.
It can be hard to block out others opinions. I, being the perfectionist that I am, sometimes let them hurt my heart and change my attitude. But then I realize that the things they say negatively about me, are only projections of their insecurities. It is so wonderful to be confident in you are. When you are confident with yourself, others notice. Only those that are jealous make negative comments.
Thanks for your sweet words on my blog!
I think that everyone, no matter how confidant he/she is, need positive influence. Let them be either direct compliments, good gestures or obvious admiration, they're all needed. Besides they're all really nice to receive/give, why wouldn't anyone want them? ;-)
Holy dessert selection, that's incredible. YUM.
I don't need to hear compliments to feel confident persay, I actually have a lot of trouble accepting compliments, but they definitely do help confidence level overall. I think other people's opinions do affect me a bit, if someone says something less than kind or critical I'll often stew over it for a while.
Wow - 4am!! I love those Quaker Delight bars. Unfortunately, if I buy them, I eat too many of them.
I thought that was a nutella crepe and got excited but no :(
I love your dinner. What variety!
It depends on the issue...but the older I get, the less people's opinions bother me.
OMG that brunch table is AMAZING!
So excited for your trip!
I like your intuitive eating style. :) I'm glad you took everyone's advice! You should put in the letter that you take feedback well. :)
