lobster night~~~~

Good evening everyone, I hope you had a good Saturday because mine was great!!!
I took my Dad to DC, around the Smithsonian Mall. And then we went to Georgetown, one of my favorite place in DC.
Look how beautiful day we had!
For breakfast I made oatmeal for us. For him the combo was
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almond breeze
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 black sesame powder
  • 1/4 longan
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp grounded almond
For me
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/2 large banana
  • 1/3 cup almond breeze
  • 1/4 raspberries
  • 1/4 blueberries
  • 1 tbsp cottage cheese
I think he likes it, specially after I explained to him all the benefits of oats and nuts.
For lunch we had korean buffet. I had soy bean spouts salad, korean noodle salad, sea food soup with a lot of spinach, sushi.....and some others stuffs that I don't know names.
First round
Second round
It was a nice meal..... he was satisfied and I was stuffed.
And then we went to korean supermarket where we found fresh lobster and Tj's for fage yogurt (I can't live without them)

I wasn't feeling hungry at all, but I was reading blogs and you guys' greats foods made me want to eat something.
so I had an apple, a small cup of Tj's High fiber and 3 mochi (chinese glutinous rice's dessert)!

First try on lobsters: I've never prepared lobsters before, I was afraid of getting hurt by them, since they can cut you with their knives. Fortunately no accident. I google how to prepare them but decide to make the simplest one, just steam them for about 30 min. Prepared a simple sauce with vinegar, a lot of ginger, soy sauce, salt and sugar.
I also prepared japanese udon noodle for Daddy~~~~
I wasn't hungry for dinner, so I just had a bite of the lobster and baked Kabocha Squash. That's my favorite squash. It has a similar texture to Acorn squash, but sweeter and harder (is it the appropriate word to describe it? I'm not sure) Anyway, I love love love it!!! Pumpkin/squash lovers, if you haven't tried it before, try it ASAP!
Fresh
Baked
(not so cute, but I assure you it's so yummy!!!!!)

Dessert was Tj's 0% Greek yogurt with raspberries. I've seen many bloggers having Tj's Greek yogurt instead of Fage, so I wanted to try. But I think I prefer Fage more, it's creamier and taste better.

Great day~~~ specially my Daddy is satisfied with the city tour and great eats!
