Friday!!!!!!!~~~~~~~ Blondies!!!!!!!

It's Friday, I'm so excited and happy even though I don't have any plan but working this weekend. But I'm excited anyway, maybe because I know you guys will do something fun/interesting! I'm excited for you ^_^~~~~~

I woke up again at 4.30am, it seems that my biology clock just decided to set forward (is this the correct word?) two hours. Anyway, I wasn't mad with myself. I got up, prepared a good breakfast combo
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup soy milk
  • 1/2 large banana
  • 2 tbsp wheat berries
  • vanilla
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
mmmmm....... I haven't had this plain color oatmeal for a long while. It tastes great though, maybe because of the soy milk? And I loveeeeeeee adding fresh blueberries to it! I feel great after loading up antioxidants! Then, I read newspaper, blogs, check emails and then I went to the 8am spin class. It was a good 45min class (forgot my HRM, so no stats). Lead 3 discussions sessions and then had lunch with two friends from school. I had a BIG sandwich from co-op, made with 2 multi seeds bread, Dijon mustard, tofu spread (my favorite), spinach, carrots, sprouts, tomatoes, green peppers. It was delicious and filling. I think it's because the bread is so good there, you know the homemade kind. Sorry, no pic, I am still hesitant to take pictures in front of my friends (specially male friends). But I do have pic of my morning snack between two discussions. Nuts!!!!
I had about 20-25 nuts. (I was starving by 10 am!)
After lunch, I tried to work at the library again, but it is hard for me at Friday afternoon. While I was trying, I had a package of BB. By 5pm I gave up and came back. More snacks. Apple and banana loaf.Did some gradings (which doesn't require much brain) and felt like baking!!! Savannah is working hard lately, so I wanted to reward her with some yummies!!! I've seen Blondies in veggiegirl's blog and wonder how it tastes (since it has a sexy name). I did make the vegan version, just the original one. Of course I didn't follow exactly. I used 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 1 cup, used the mixed nuts instead of pistachio, pumpkin seeds instead of dry pear.
Review (Savannah): " Perfect crunchy crust! Just the right sweetness! Great ginger flavor! Enough nuts and moisture! mmmmmmm..........sighhhhhhhhhhhh......... "
My dinner was tortilla pizza (it's my Friday night date!). Topped with spinach, eggplant and broccoli. And a lot of cheese!!!!!I also had small bamboo-chicken stir fry to get some more protein.
It was a very satisfying dinner!!!
Dessert was a new product that I found in a Latin market: Oatmeal drink.I had 1/2 cup with blueberries and wheat berries (how I love berries! ^_^)It tastes like a creamy soy milk, the texture is between milk and yogurt. Interesting~
What's your weekend plan? anything exciting? shopping?

Question: What makes you to buy a new product?

Hooray for baking blondies!!!!!!! :-D

I purchase a product based on its "visual appeal" (the package, labeling, etcetera), and its ingredients (since I don't want to purchase anything that has ingredients I'm allergic to).

**My weekend plans = personal-training sessions and LOTS of studying for exams.

Enjoy YOUR weekend!!

Ooo that bamboo chicken sounds really good.

I usually buy something after I see someone else try it and rave about it. I've tried a ton of new things since I started reading blogs :)

mm blondies look fantastic! i've never made any before, so i think i will and give them to my brothers!

what makes me buy a product? usually, if i hear a review about it, it'll stick with me in my mind, especially if i happen to know the person who did the review. visual appeal is also strong, since i want to make sure that the product is decent, and i also check the informational areas :)

Erin: you have a better weekend plan than mine. I'm heading to the library in 30min. :( But I'm happy that I'm going home in less than 10 days. ^_^

Tiffie: you're so sweet!!! ^_^ can't wait to see the package. But are you sure it will arrive safely with your name on it?

A lot of things make me try new products - the fact its new is one! And if it has good nutritional content. And if it got good reviews by others...And if it looks appealing. The packaging can lure me too =)

One big plan for today is cleaning. WOOHOO!

What is BB? I see the package but it looks empty! :) The oatmeal drink sounds great - is it high calorie?
